Died: After 1840
Buried: Probably at Hutton, Coles County, Illinois
Service: Private: North Carolina Continental. He enlisted six times between 1777 and 1781, serving in the Companies of Capt. William Bateman, Capt. John Turnbull, Capt. James Robinson, and Capt. Gillyfalls, in Regiments commanded by Col. Bateman, Col. Hugh Brevard, Col. James Armstrong and Col. William Davidson. He was in the battle of Ramsour's Mill and in Indian Skirmishes.
Pension: S32430 (NC); Illinois pension roll, Coles County, January 31, 1834, age 90. He was listed as a resident of Coles County in the Pension Census of June 1, 1840.
