*- Mickey went to be with Jesus at 3:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 at home.
He was born March 10, 1937 in Danville, the son of Everett and Helen Mitchell Crawley. He married Nancy Carol Weidenburner May 11, 1957. She survives. Also surviving are: three sons, James (Rhonda) Crawley, Brad (Jessica) Crawley and Chris (Brandi) Crawley; five grandsons: Shawn, Jeremy, Cody, Justin and Brandon Crawley; four granddaughters: Kasey and Mary Ellen Crawley, Kylee Williams and Amy Cook.; two great-grandchildren: Kylee and Madison Cook; three brothers: Jupe, Jack (Joyce) and Tom Crawley; five sisters: Betty Thomason, Ruth Chiaramello, Donna (Jim) Delattre, Pat (Don) Lau and Linda (Merle) Sager, and his mother, Helen Crawley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Crawley; son, William Crawley; infant daughter, Amy Crawley; a sister, Barbara Jean Fox, and two brothers, George and Jerry Crawley.
He attended Danville Alliance Church. Mickey loved his family. His children and grandchildren were very special to him. He loved being at his place on the lake (Vermilion Fishing Club) fishing. He also loved woodworking and taking care of his flowers and water garden. His working life was spent at Carson’s Drug which later became Gulick Illiana Medical Equipment.
A celebration of Mickey’s life will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St. with Pastor Ken Cameron officiating. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
