ABE DRAPER FOUND DEAD IN MUNCIE
YOUNG SON MADE SHOCKING DISCOVERY AFTER RETURN FROM SCHOOL
Coroner Ralph M. Cole was called to Muncie Tuesday evening where Abraham Draper, a resident of that place for the past three or four years had been found dead a short time before. Mr. Draper died about the noon hour, in the opinion of Dr. O. W. Michael, who had been called to the residence shortly after 4 o'clock.
The body was found in the Draper home by Paul Draper, a thirteen-year-old son, just after he got home from school. The father had complained early in the day of having severe pains in the chest and the boy asked for permission to remain at home and look after him. Father told him to go on with his studies as the trouble did not appear to be so severe as to need constant attention. Draper was divorced from the wife some years before and she had remarried. He and his thirteen-year-old boy resided in a small house together.
There were two grown sons and two married daughters, the two latter being well known in Danville. One, Mrs. Lola Nichols resides just outside the city limits and the other one, Miss Lillie Draper, formerly made her home in Danville, but is now a resident of Chicago.
After hearing the evidence, the coroner's jury impanelled at the scene, reconvened Wednesday morning and returned a verdict of death due to heart trouble.
