Buried: Wolf Creek Cemetery, Saline County, Illinois
Service: Private: Spy: North Carolina. He enlisted in August 1780 in North Carolina in Capt. Arthur Forbus' Company, Col. John Paisley's Regiment; three months in Capt. James Wilson's Company, Col. William R. Davie's Regiment; from December 1, 1780, for five months in Capt. David Gillaspie's Company, Col. Paisley's Regiment; from March, 1782, for two months under Col. Edward Gwin and Col. William Washington; and a few days with Lt. George Parkes.
Pension: S6982 (NC); Pension Census, June 1, 1840, Gallatin County, Illinos, age 84
Marker: His name is on a marker on the grounds of the Saline County Court House, Harrisburg, placed by Michael Hillegas Chapter DAR in 1931.
