Born: May 6, 1750 in Baltimore County, Maryland
Died: After 1840
Buried: In Old Lost Cemetery, Clay County, Illinois (Cemetery was plowed under by a farmer.)
Residence: He first settled in Lawrence County, Illinois; removed to Madison County and then to Clay County.
Service: Private: Virginia Continentals. He enlisted in 1778 from Cross Creek, Virginia in Col. William Crawford's Regiment. He served three months, during which time he assisted with the building of Fort McIntosh. He served in 1779 and 1780 in Capt. Matthew Richie's Company, Col. Crawford's Regiment.
Pension: S32583(VA); Illinois pension roll, Madison County, July18, 1853, age 83;
Marker: The grave was marked by Vinsans Trace Chapter DAR, April 7, 1973
