Born: April 19, 1754 in Prince Edward County, Virginia
Died: After 1840
Buried: Jefferson County, Illinois
Residences: He first settled in Morgan County, Illinois, but removed to Jefferson County.
Service: Soldier: Virginia. He enlisted in Botetourt County, Virginia, serving from June to December, 1776 in Capt. Daniel Smith's Company; from September, 1778, for seven months in Capt. George Adams Company; three months n Col. Isaac Shelby's Regiment; nine months with Captains George Maxfield, Robert Caldwell and John Martin.
Pension: S32292 (VA); Pension Census of Jefferson County, Illinois, June 1, 1840, age 86, residing with William Hicks, head of family.
