*Floyd Knowles Death Certificate. Floyd was born July 8, 1897 in Golden Gate, Wayne County, Illinois. He was the son of Alpheus (Alpha) and Ida Ellen Painter Knowles. Floyd married Harriet Laura Nash February 14, 1917 in Covington, Fountain County, Indiana. Floyd and Harriet were the parents of 3 children. He passed away April 15, 1971 at the Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. Floyd had suffered numerous heart attacks and strokes. He was 73 years old at the time of his passing. He is buried in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois.

*Elizabeth Owens Jones was born October 24, 1880 in Ferndale, Glamorgan, Wales to David John and Mary Prothero  Owens. In 1884 Elizabeth came to the United States with her mother, a sister and a brother. Her father, David, was already in America working in the coal mines in Grape Creek, Vermilion County, Illinois. Elizabeth married John W. Jones August 21, 1909 in Bloomington, Illinois.  Elizabeth had worked in a bakery and as a cook for Dr. Fithian and his wife. She passed away, after suffering a stroke, February 16, 1965 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was 84 years old. She was the mother of 4 children.
