Lost and now FOUND

Doing research last night I came across one of my husband's cousins. This discovery has led to contact and now we are trying to get together. WOW. I quickly called James' brother David, who wanted me to forward the email. Then he talked to James and gave me more information. So I can say I had a great 24 hours! Welcome back Eddie, we may have lost you for a while, but now we have found you!

Names, Pictures, and Memories Lost

I have taken pictures to my mother many times, hoping that she will remember something about them. At 91 she doesn't remember many of the people in the photo. I have done much research and at times I am able to name people only because I have another photo with some of the individuals in them.
Remember to name folks in your photos, maybe tell a little history of the day, and place.
Another great way to preserve your family history is to keep a journal, or write your memories to share with others.
I have started my outline of my research for future generations of my family. Why don't you begin yours?
By the way, blogging is a great way to share your thoughts, research and stories with others; however remember to journal the things you write about for generations to come.... blogs and computers may not be around in the distant future... remember reel to reel tape?
